the text you want to convertand go to data Tab and psycho killer seriesclick on text tocolumn that's how we can do follow thewizard you choosing delimited or fixedwidth as need and select the appropriatedata format one way is converting numberis stored as text another way is how toconvert dates stored as text so this isthe way to convert dates which is storedas a text changing number formatconverting text to proper case uppercase lower case so these all are theways to convert the values into therespective data type now we're going toperform for an example if I want toconvert text to number so how I can dothat so I have to select the cell or acolumn which containing the text whichyou want to convert after that go to thedata type so let's first select the cellfor an example if I select I want toconvert the value here is 130 uh for anexample uh let's say if I give here not130 I'm giving here n okay this is textnow if I want to convert this value uhwith the data type number how to do thatso first I will select this next stepwould be go to the data Tab and click ontext to column so when I go to data tabwhere is data Tab and then after whatyou have to select text tocolumn here you have to select whatcharacter such as commas or typseparated each field fixed with fieldsare aligned in column with spacesbetween each field now what is this wecheck the last step follow the visardchoosing delimited or fixed bit asneeded and select appropriate dataformat so I will select here for anexample delimited so when I will selectthis afterthis in which format you want to selectGeneral date if you want to convert indate the which way you want to convertthis that's how you can select and foran example I want to convert uh in textis already in text it is in the numericuh data type that n is not uh text overhere this n over here is what numericalokay it is in the form of integer eitherinteger or flaw so how we can um convertthat so first click Text and then finishso this particular value will getchanged to other data type which will beText datatype and change this value for nowshould be 130so now after um discussing about how toconvert data type as of now it is notrequired in our data set so we'll not goin deep but here the next prompt uhwhich we really need to check is that tocalculate basic statistic for the dataset what we have already shared here sowe going to ask chat jpt write an Excelcommand to calculate the base statisticfor the about data set when I enter thisprompt let's see what output we aregetting so now in Excel you can see theoutput what you getting here is you cancalculate basic statistics such as meanmedian which we have already discussedlike what is summary statistic and uhWhat uh summary statistic coversbasically it covers mean median standarddeviation minimum and maximum valueusing build-in function here so here howwe can apply these function we have someinbu function uh in Excel which we canapply directly and uh we can get thesevalues like mean median standarddeviation mode okay so first let's seehow to get the output based on thisfunction so here if I use this formulawhat is this to get the mean value thatmeans to get the average of each columnso for an example if I want to know theaverage so what I will do here I'll justapply the formula here equalto average automatically you will getthe name from drop- down list you justselect this and the formula is askingyou the range from where to where youwant the mean suppose if I want toselect for MPG column the average valueif I want to know of this First Columnthat is MPG what I will do here I willselect the range so from where I want toselect from a to that means a columnsecond row till 399 as we have 399 rowsfor this data set so I will select acolumn second row from A2 to a399 soI'll give here A2 after that I'll givecolum and A3 99 I'll close this withparenthesis and when I will enter hereI'm getting the mean is2349 this is the mean of this FirstColumn that's how you can check theaverage that means the mean of othercolumn as well so now we're going tounderstand the median so how we're goingto do that we're going to apply insteadof average median so equal to medianwhen you will type median automaticallyyou are getting this name in the drop-down list and you just double click onthat again you have to give the rangefrom where to where you want the medianvalue I want now this time median forthis column that is cylinder Okay so soI will select the range that means thecylinder column is of B column and Iwant range from B2 to B 399 so B2column B399 that is 399th row till 399th row Iwant median value so when I enter I'mgetting here the median of uh b 2 to b399 is 4 so that's how we can calculatethe median and other statistics as wellas we have a standard deviation for thatyou only have to apply what equal tostandard deviation the form is stdv thatis standard deviation you only have toselect the range from where to where youwant a standard devation obviously foreach column we have to select all thevalues for the data set because we arenot analyzing few rows and columns weare analyzing the whole data set so wehave to select the all value from TheColumns you can select minimum valuealso how which one is the minimum let'sselect this formula here I will applythis for one column in my Excelsheet let's applythis minimum now here I will change therange I want to check the minimum valueof this column origin so origin has uhcolumn H and from H2 to H 399 I want tocheck the minimum value in this columnso H2till H399 when I will enter the
